“Words are zilch” – Ngumoha
I must say that I do not presume to know these things. However, for what I am about to spue, you might see me as the devil’s advocate. Please don’t sue.
I have thought long and hard on this and it is my belief that the women folk have it better in the civilized world.
I am no sexist but consider this…
From a tender age and till the day he dies, today’s male child is continually shaped and educated by society on the etiquette he owes his female counterpart just by virtue of gender. “How to treat a lady” they say
So that he feels a debt that in reality may never be repaid in full but he must keep trying. Consequently, some rebel, majority don’t.
These things are not bad in themselves yet, an issue arises in my mind by the apparent lack of balance. So, I ask.
“How is the female folk educated towards these matters?”
“How to treat a lady”
Are they taught to know that men are living creatures too who deserve consideration?
Or are they primed however passively to stoke the fires of anger in the heat of passion? To provoke a response wherever there is any to be found? And to practise emotional blackmail so strong even the toughest nail would eventually bend?
Of course, the moral high ground will always be up for grabs and the gender card is always there to be played.
Again, I do not presume to be an expert on matters such as this.
What do I know?
